A Birthday Celebration to Remember

Today was my Daddy's 50th birthday, so S'morey and I decided to make an Italian Sour Cream Cake. It may have taken us a long time to make it but it is worth it. The reasons it took so long was because, S'morey kept eating all the batter and icing. I can't blame him it is delicious, I had a little taste myself. For the celebration, we also had a silly string fight, our family was still in town, so they shared the experience with us. I think it will rub off maybe the next time we go to the house for a party S'morey and I might be covered in colors. I had the red string, and both S'morey and I became rainbows, we both had so many colors on us. My cousins had green, blue and maybe one more red string. My dad really enjoyed this day , he had the green string, green is his favorite color. It is a family tradition that we have a silly string fight on birthday's. S'morey has only experienced this tradition a few times, but I have only had him for 2 years. He will be here for many more birthdays!!!! His birthday will be coming soon enough.

S'morey Makes Money

S'morey is the sock monkey of all sock monkeys. He is such a hit my Aunt wants me to make two sock monkeys for her friend. Yesterday my Aunt and Uncle were admiring my work, making sock monkeys. That is when my Aunt got the idea, so now S'morey and I are on a mission to find the supplies we need. We are going to make two sock monkeys, one with a ballet dress, and one with a karate belt. We can't wait, S'morey loves making new friends, my family already loves him. Wherever I go he is there.

Mission:

  • Get two pairs of Rockford Red Heels (size M)
  • Get a half a yard of pink silky fabric
  • Get pink yarn or ribbon
  • Get white and black thick and sturdy ribbon
  • Get personalized tags

Put a smile on two kids faces :)

S'morey and His Adventures

My family and I went to a protected animal park, and of course S'morey (the sock monkey) was there. We were sitting in the back of the car with the lift gate up, so we could look out. When all of a sudden S'morey spotted a herd of deer. I suggested that S'morey and I get out of the car, to try and feed the deer. Because a couple of years ago a deer almost ate right out of our hands, but my cousin jumped out and scared it. So we were going to take advantage of this moment. The deer were to startled to come eat out of our hands. I carried S'morey back to the car, and we got in. But to our luck down the road there were more deer, and one deer came and ate out of our hands. We were so physicked, S'morey even got to pet it.

The Velveteen Sock Monkey

Have you ever had a stuffed animal that seemed like it had feelings? I do.... his name is S'morey (my sock monkey). There are times that I think he feels. It all started 2 years ago, he was brand new out of the store, I was holding him in my arms like a baby. I was so proud to have him. S'morey and I have been though some times like: a loss of a grandfather. He has been there when I needed him most, I would hug him tight in my arms, and not be embarrassed to cry. I could talk to him and he would listen, S'morey is a great listener. Every night before I go to sleep I tuck him in and give him a kiss, right beside me. And I believe he feels it, some people may say I'm crazy but deep down inside I know he is real. S'morey is not only real , but he is my best friend. Some people call it craziness I call it love. Do you have a stuffed animal that you believe is real ????

My Passion

It was the year of 2006 in July when I got my first sock monkey. It only took me a day before I was hooked. Now two years later, I have 10 sock animals, still and counting. I have learned how to make them and it has now become a passion. These are the names of my sock animals: S'morey, Truffle, Summer, Cappuccino, Chocolate Chip, Cookies and Cream, Pudding, Graham Cracker, Cinnamon and Toffee. The next sock monkey I am going to make is going to be named Caramel... If you know any places that sell sock monkey's, I'm always looking to expand my collection.
